Who actually reads the ECGs?
GMC-registered consultant cardiologists. Every interpretation is performed and signed by a named consultant — AI never issues a report.
Is an EKG the same as an ECG?
Yes — an EKG and an ECG are the same test. "EKG" comes from the German spelling and is common in the US; "ECG" is the international standard. Whatever you call it, upload the trace and a CardioBridge consultant cardiologist reports it.
What does the report actually contain?
A full interpretation of the trace — rhythm, rate, intervals, morphology and any abnormalities — followed by a formal diagnostic impression, the consultant's view of the clinical significance and whether further investigation is warranted, and a clear recommended next step. Anything needing urgent cardiology referral is flagged explicitly.
How fast will we get results?
Urgent ECGs can be reported in as little as 30 minutes; routine ECGs are returned within two business days. Urgent referrals jump to the top of the worklist.
What happens if the trace quality is too poor to read?
The cardiologist sends it back with a specific reason rather than guessing. You are notified in the portal and by webhook, and can re-upload against the same reference.
Where is patient data stored?
Clinical records live in our EU-hosted clinical system of record; identity and pipeline data are held in the UK (London). Nothing identifying is stored outside the EU/UK.
How do we integrate?
Three options: use the web portal as-is, connect your EMR for automatic two-way flow, or integrate directly with the REST API — most teams are live within a day.
